Robert A. Lees & Associates has represented many private and church schools and recognizes that private education & freedom of choice are critical for our children's welfare. As a result, the firm supports this freedom by the presentation of seminars to assist private school administrations, including charter schools, in current areas of interest in the law. These seminars emphasize child protection, preventative law, and employment law.

In 1995, Robert A. Lees represented a nonprofit in Pitkin County and won a landmark constitutional and zoning case involving civil rights from both the first and fourteenth amendments. This case resulted in an award of over $300,000.00 to the private school and an injunction against further interference by the county officials. Such cases continue.
